An Instaguide is meant to assist pro bono lawyers. It is a complement to standardized forms that we will also offer once a statewide project sponsored by the Administrative Office of the Courts agrees upon them. (Our own self-help project is described elsewhere in these pages. Click here to view it -- Self-Help in Divorce.) It is not a substitute for a treatise or legal research. Rather, it is more in the nature of an annotated introduction for practitioners who accept family law cases for a legal aid program but do not regularly practice in the area.

We welcome comments about these memoranda. Please direct them to wdurand@selegal.org. We may not be able to acknowledge all of the comments we receive, but we very much appreciate them. They will be read.
